WHITING

Whiting is used in the leaded glass cleanup process to dry out the cement and neutralize the flux.

For Leaded Glass Cleanup:  Sprinkle a light dusting of whiting over the entire surface.  Scrub with a soft-bristled brush until clean.  Brush or vacuum away the spent whiting.  May also be used to neutralize copper foil projects without water.  Useful for projects such as layered jewelry or enclosed bevel boxes so that no water gets on the inside.
