This tool actually holds the glass, so fingers will not get wet or cut. Grinding sludge will not get under the fingernails, and fingertips can be saved from damage. The glass is held firm by the spring pressure, allowing more force into the grinding wheel, thereby speeding up the grinding operation and saving time.

This tool is so wonderful for small pieces while grinding!! TOTALLY WORTH the $20,if you do the Tiffany style copper method,there are always so many small pieces and this saves time and your fingers! It holds firmly and I have used mine for almost 10 yrs and it's still working great!
